Apparently, the serpentine belt and tensioner pulley weren't perfectly aligned anymore, which could be causing the noise. Well, when you hear that from the "expert," you believe it. So, go ahead and replace it. When I picked it up, they told us (wait for it!) that the Clio doesn't even have a tensioner pulley. 😳 😉 I felt a bit ripped off. What was that about it not running smoothly? Didn't someone actually check it, or not? "We've replaced the belt, the noise is gone, that'll be €50!" At that moment, my wife drove off in the car... and what happened? The car squeaked again, the same noise! 🤐 Now you really feel more than ripped off!

"Well, that's strange!" they told me. "Then please leave it there so the mechanic can take another look." A day later, I got a call. Yes, the mechanic had looked at it, but they had some bad news. They determined—well, the workshop foreman 🤭—drumroll, please: it's the air conditioning compressor! The diagnostic report clearly states: 99% certainty it's the compressor! With removal and installation, it'll cost around €1400. I couldn't believe it! Second opinion from a private, certified master workshop. The tension of the belt driving the compressor was incorrect! ❗️❗️❗️ Just imagine what they told me! The worst part is, they would have replaced the part at ATU (a German auto parts and service chain), fitted a new belt, and then the noise might have been gone! And they would have patted themselves on the back for how good they were!
Conclusion: €35 for a belt instead of €1400!
This should not happen! And I also paid €50 for the belt (without the pulley) for nothing!

Im August 25 Hauptinspektion ( Öl Klima etc Wischblätter auf eigenen Wunsch sowie Verbandkasten) eines Clios. Am Tag der Abholung quietschte das Fahrzeug. Auto abgestellt an der Kasse das Problem angesprochen folgende Aussage: "das Fahrzeug hat einen neuen Zahnriemen und Keilriemen dadurch kann das mal zwei Wochen so sein, ist dies dann immernoch kommen sie bitte nochmal wieder." Gesagt getan... nach drei Wochen wieder hin da es immer schlimmer wurde. Da gerade Rädersaison war gabs einen Termin im Oktober. Auto muss nochmal auf die Bühne in der Werkstatt. Da wurde uns mitgeteilt das man neben dem Zahnriemen auch bei einen Keilriemen die Spannrolle tauschen müsste was aber so nicht durchgeführt wurde weil es nicht in der Inspektion dabei wäre. Aber der Keilriemen u die Spannrolle laufen nicht mehr ganz genau in der Flucht das könnte dann das Geräusch erzeugen. Naja wenn man dies vom "Fachmann" gesagt bekommt glaubt man daran. Also los bitte tauschen. Beim abholen teilte man uns mit (Achtung! ) der Clio hat gar keine Spannrolle. 😳 😉Da kam ich mir schon etwas verarscht vor. Wie war das läuft nicht in einer Flucht? Da hat doch eigentlich einer nachgeschaut oder doch nicht? "Jetzt haben wir den Riemen getauscht das Geräusch ist weg, macht bitte 50€!" In dem Moment fährt meine Frau mit dem Fahrzeug los...und was passiert? Das Auto quietscht wieder, gleiches Geräusch!🤐 Jetzt kommst dir schon mehr als verarscht vor! !
ABER WARTE KOMMT NOCH BESSER ❗️
"Na das ist ja merkwürdig!" sagte man mir. Dann lassen sie ihn bitte stehen dann schaut der Meister nochmal drüber. Nach einem Tag bekam ich einen Anruf ja der Meister hat drüber geschaut man hätte aber eher schlechte Nachrichten. Man hat festgestellt, also der Werkstattmeister🤭, Trommelwirbel: es ist der Klimakompressor! Bei der Fehleranalyse steht schwarz auf weiß: zu 99% der besagte Kompressor! Mit Ein- und Ausbau ca 1400€. Das konnte ich nicht glauben! ZWEITMEINUNG in einer privaten MEISTERWERKSTATT. Die Spannung des Riemens welcher den Kompressor antreibt hat nicht gepasst! ❗️❗️❗️ man muss sich das mal vorstellen was da einem erzählt wird! Das schlimme ist die hätten das Teil bei ATU getauscht, damit verbunden einen neuen Riemen drauf gezogen und dann ggf. wäre das Geräusch auch weggewesen! Und sie hätten sich auf die Schulter gehauen wie gut sie sind!
FAZIT 35€ RIEMEN ANSTATT 1400€!
DAS DARF NICHT PASSIEREN ! und die 50€ für den Riemen bekanntlich ohne Rolle hab ich auch für umsonst gezahlt!
